Been using the Thorograph on and off for about 20 years. Used to print them in Chicago a long time ago before the on-line. Recently started capping and following it again when a friend asked me to look at the Arlington Million. I hit that with Jumbalaya/Tin Man. Then like most on this board hit with Student Council and again today on Mission Approved both win bet and exacta. I don't pretend to know 1/10th of what you guys know so if I may ask a couple quick questions. 1). Any recommended books to read on horse handicapping? 2). Is it easier to bet Stakes Races than other races on the card? In Stakes it seems the horses are extremely consistent and more predictable. It also seems the Thorograph (especially in Stakes where horses pretty much run what might be expected) gives us an extreme edge over the information others are using. While Mission Approved was 34-1 it was not surprising he won when looking at the numbers and weight. I was surprised he came out at 18-1 and went to 34-1. Appreciate any feedback I get and thanks in advance.
