Judging by your screen name one would suspect you are a fan of this colt. His work was very different than he normally works. Carl leaves little to chance and has always worked his horses from the poles to the wire with varying gallop outs.
Street Sense always starts slow and finishes very well. My notes indicate that in ALL of SS's Churchillworks he finishes his last eighth in 11 and 3/5's or less. In Tuesdays work, his last eighth was in twelve and three fifths! Several different clockers all have the same splits and a photo taken during the work (now up at brisnet on the handicappers edge) clearly shows Calvin with a very loose rein and a ton of horse.
As for Saturday, Jones has stated he wants to get to the rail and he drew it! However the rail is death at Turfway with the last week or so seeing all winners being at least four wide for the entire journey with more than a few going gate to wire. This race has all the earmarks of being a strange one and it would be difficult to expect that SS is anywhere near fully cranked up. BBB
