Compare the two Ky Derbys - Unbridled ran wide and finished in faster time than SS, who skimmed the rail most of the way. Unbridled got a positive '4', while SS got a negative '2' and change.

Ragozin has the figures about the same. Beyer just this year referred to Unbridled's performance as "one of the fastest and most impressive Derby performances ever."


I'd solve this riddle before going any further.
