- Big colt apparently had gate problems at Santa Anita due to his size, and was (obviously) fine in the slightly larger starting gate at the Spa... which leaves the question concerning the size of the Monmounth gate (anyone have a clue???) and if he could be negatively affected. It's safe to say this is not a good spot to not break cleanly. Baffert's huge colt Point Given also raced at Monmouth; only issue in the starting gate then was BB getting last second riding instructions to the hall of fame jock. (!)
