To those who took the time to send an email demanding that the matter be turned over to the FBI, in light of the recent announcement that the US Attorney's office has taken over, which amounts to the same thing. The look on Harn's face in the Daily News photo of him leaving the unemployment office is one which I have both seen and experienced. It isn't an expression of joy, to put it mildly. And just when you thought you might never hear his name again, Groth is quoted in all the papers again, this time saying that the arrests could come as soon as Mon. The odd thing this time is that there actually appears to be some truth to what he's saying. What Mall wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall today when Barry Schwartz meets with the Autotote gang. The spin, stonewalling, and lies are not going to cut it when Barry, who can pack a good verbal punch when necessary & has a world class stare of disapproval, starts demanding answers to questions which are on a lot of people's minds, like what exactly were the steps Autotote took to prevent & detect a fraud of this nature. I hope he also inquires into whether and when Autotote is going to pay the bettors who were swindled in the 10/5 dry run fix. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to vote halapeno, whoever you are.
