something is fishy with derby pool #2 (1316 Views)

at 1130am pct sunday morning peace rules had $12,566 bet on him. when betting closed he only had $11,113. someone canceled their bets.

this should be illegal. one could easily manipulate the odds if this is legal. just put $20,000 on any horse which would make them the favorite. this will keep all but the dumbest people from betting him. one minute before close cancel all but a few hundred on him. i am sure there are many better ways than this, but there is no way people should be able to cancel their wagers.

i also remember wagering was stopped on a horse last year during the 3 day wagering period. he had around $1000 total on him. why couldn't these people cancel their wagers? i remember churchill downs told them tough luck. why wasn't it tough luck for the people who bet the $1453 that left pool #2?
