As we brought up last week and as many Ragozin customers who post on their Board pointed out Buddy Gil looked like he was already in the midst of a significant pattern of regression on ‘SHEETS’.

This got me thinking and Friedman has now come up with a new handicapping angle for his next book—The Implosion Horse. I ran into 2 friends at Gulfstream who are Thorograph players after the Santa Anita Derby and both of them told me they had “bet out on Buddy Gil” in the race. They said at 6-1 he looked to good to be true and in their eyes the paired up 2’s had them thinking he may move forward again. When I asked them if they considered he might be a candidate to bounce their response was, “Briefly, you always have to consider all the angles before you make a big bet, but any ideas of a bounce were eliminated when we looked at Mullins Trainer Stats.
