Without your sheets I never, ever would've seen Midway Road, but you showed him as having the second best career figure and at 20-1 I felt I had to make him my key.
My Preakness betting was as follows: $5 win, then underneath 4 $2 exactas (including the winning one) and keyed in the 3 slot with 4 horses in $1 tris (just missed, not having the entry).
My friends made fun of me for putting out the $25 for your Saturday book, as I'm generally a $2 bettor, but after that $120 exacta and a couple of other minor scores earlier, I was the one laughing at the end of the day. Thanks!
p.s. Pimlico was doing this head-to-head wagering I've never seen before-and it was a great deal with only had an 11% take-out. Have any of you seen this on-track before-i've only seen it at off-shore internet casinos? It was fun to do, and I'm hoping nyra (my home circuit) picks up on it. The Pimlico tote board is so lousy it was nearly impossible to follow the probable payoffs, but it looks like it has great arbitrage potential against the win odds.
