As far as your original questions IMO figures are a useful tool all year long not just the fall. I don't have a clue what you mean by "The numbers being dynamite this spring". Again numbers are a tool to be used as part of handicapping and it still takes someone who understands not only what they are looking at but how impoprtant is a specific piece of information in relation to a specific race and then how do you wager appropriatly to maximize your investment.
