I'll make a case for Irish Colonial, despite being a couple of points slower going in. First, he's getting weight from several of the top contenders. He has the tactical speed which should keep him out of traffic while saving ground at the same time. He's only improved less than a couple of points from last year which to me says a move forward to a new top tomorrow is very possible especially off the pair up's in his last two races. To me it's a classic pattern of a new top tomorrow off of a pair-up of new tops that were not so big as to knock him off form. Not bad Trainer stats with Turf starters and although a small sample the trainer/jock profile is strong also. 7-1 and up Irish Colonial is playable and offers value.
Am I overlooking something?
Phil
