The World Thoro Rankings:
5--Mineshaft--USA--Neil J. Howard--121
Give me a break--Gets weight from the 3YO and gives only 1 pound to Peace Rules.
As someone who was lucky enough to have the Exacta of Perfect Drift/Mineshaft, I said to a friend of mine after the race that there was no question who the better horse was.
Also considering how far they "aired" Alderberan and Crafty Shaw (yes the same Crafty Shaw MDO beat two lengths Oaklawn) we also commented no telling what the number was going to be.
Well I guess we kind of know now. I was only using the Thoro-Quik that day but Mineshaft may have had the BEST LINE IN HISTORY.
Seriously, if you haven't taken a look you need to.
TGJB, the move Albarado made on the turn reminded me of the move Chavez made with Behrens on the turn in the Whitney a couple of years ago. I think you guys in the office probably remember which Whitney I'm talking about.
