if lion heart blows em away tomorrow, he gets my vote for 2 yr old colt (although this st averil colt might present a challenge). cajun beat has to get best sprinter, just no other strong competition. 2yr old filly is a lock. three year old colt..... hmmmmmmm .. slight nod to EM, he was simply a better horse than the other one. jock and trainer are obvious, as always.
turf horses are tough calls. interesting, not one of the six euros that took home the top awards over there came to SA for the BC. it was nice to see a pair of nice fillies win the big BC races, and HC is good i guess,
but i can't get too excited about the turf awards when many of the best never came to race in the US. oh, champ older horse i guess is a lock also.
