I just wanted to get the story straight, exactly why did CHRB cut off Magna? It is not because they are giving rebates. After all, the whale in S. Dakota and now in OK get rebates on CAL signal. Also, the CHRB reinstated certain shops after the big drop in handle at SA. This drop in handle at SA is significant becuause unlike last year, the weather has been ideal. There has only been a handful of days where the track has been wet and there were no turf racing. If SA did not have anything to gain from these rebate shops they would not have re-upped at the same rate at last year(they did not cut the shops off, the shops stopped the signal after Magna raised the rates). So, I think CHRB is trying and rightfully so to get the best deal that they can with Magna. Beulah of all places just agreed to a new deal on simulcast signals so why can't Magna.
