An angle that I have stumbled upon after years tearing up tickets in the KD prep feature race on Saturdays is... the winning trainer of the feature also booted home a winner in a MSW race earlier on the card often a 1st or 2nd time starter.
I know it is kind of like Aries ascending in the house of the rising sun. However, there is more to this foolish logic. So to set the stage, Eoin Harty booted home a Godolphin colt named Alabaster in the 2nd race @ Tampa today paying a healthy $15 to win.
One of the few trainer categories that Mr. Harty shows a positive ROI is surface changes and in particular turf to dirt. So in the featured Sam Davis today, Eoin sends out another Godolphin trainee by the name of Crittenden.
Crittenden has done all of his winning on the lawn and could not have been any more impressive than in his last two and especially the Maiden win! So I will take a shot on the change of surface, MSW winner, voodoo angle rather than the can't compete on dirt viewpoint that surely influenced the morning line maker into making him 15/1.
I'll even put him in an exacta under Ocean View because it is obvious that one is fast. The video replays of Crittenden's last two are entertaining and not to be missed.
