Welcome to the first Fan-Free Private Breeders Cup.
It is now clear the 2015 Breeders Cup was designed as a "movers and shakers only" event, a private racing party for the best of those coming from Europe for the yearling sale, the top yearling buyers in America, and the clients whose money they spend.
Average horse people who own farms in Lexington, work hard, or small racing owners? LOL - really? You thought you could buy tickets and watch? Please - enjoy watching on TV at the Keene Barn.
And you little people, mere fans? Be happy we'll allow you to pay $50 to sit in your car in a field 1/4 mile from the track, and watch our day on TV.
If you "must" see a live horse, the cheapest seat is $425, your parking is 7 miles away at the Kentucky Horse Park, and you have to pay a fee for the shuttle to get you to Keeneland, too.
This is an outrageous insult from the biggest in the horse industry to the entire city of Lexington, KY, and to every "average" horseman or woman who thought the BC was a fan-based event.
