Had no skin in the game, but I think it is downright DISGUSTING and SHAMEFUL that the stewards didn't bother to put up an inquiry.

As for taking the horse down, unfortunately we have multiple precedents where they refuse to take horses down for gate infractions. That said, hard to see that start, that hard slam into the 4 by the 3, and say "the foul had no impact on the result".

It just makes me wonder what the stewards are doing during the races when you have a horse veer sharply out of the gate, knock another horse very hard and see that horse drop way back, and the stewards don't bother to take a look at it. I can accept an inquiry without a DQ, but not even looking at it is just ridiculous.
