Just a matter of time...think about it for a minute... Most every state, local, and nation officials as well as virtually EVERY medical infectious disease expert had stated "stay away from large crowds...NBA postponed...NCAA March Madness with no Madness (no fans in the stands)...NHL on the verge of postponing their season...MLB in discussions in starting their season with no fans... Horse racing will be forced to follow along...it will also become a legal issue... Imagine if ALL of the professional sports are in lock step... Racing (CD) decides on their own to conduct business as usual...then people attending the Derby get infected by other patrons...the lawsuits that would follow would be staggering... The Derby is in 58 days...IF there is a drastic reduction in the spread of the virus (and it would have to happen within the next 30 days there might be a possibility having the Derby festivities... however given the incredibly rapid developments in the past 24 hours? I seriously doubt that it happens...my guess is that they run the race with no one in the stands... Living room downs anyone?
