One main obstacle with the The Triple Crown is happens at 3 different venues. So that requires cooperation. We all know how that goes in horse racing.
Beyond that there are a lot vendors who rely on that income so a "peopleless event" is a financial problem for more than just the Tracks. This is the United States of America and the people in this country are tough and flexible. Adjustments need to happen and the people will understand. The Breeders Cup still occurred 60 days after 9-11 in New York and we may have already been at War by then.
So far the only PIGS who are going on about business is the NCAA. Its business as usual. The flesh of the Kids we use every year will be out there on a made for TV Only event and life goes on. Screw the schools and the fans. They are so flush with TV money that don't fu&king care......
