The futurity and Kentucky Cup sprint were both "T-Graph" races. It was a $250 trifecta in a 6 horse race in the Futurity for the three fastest horses. I chose the wrong one for my win bet, but they ran easy 1-2-3, even with $77 exacta was "value".
In the Kentucky Cup sprint, Cuvee was obviously fastest if he ran back to last year's numbers, but Heckle was a throwout on T-Graph numbers and the eventual winner was clearly second best on the T-Graph figures. The exacta of Cuvee over the winner actually opened at $8, before drifting to $20. I assumed it was "sheet money" when I saw it. The tricky part was reversing the exacta for less. I don't always do that and I am sure a lot of bettors also don't do it when using the favorite on top, but $77 for the two fastest horses in reverse order, in a 5 horse field is a nice payoff.
