It's a shame what an owner can do to the best laid plans of a trainer.

Case in point is MOBIL. It appears that Mike Keough, a sharp guy, was all set to train MOBIL up to the BC. ( I personally did not use him yesterday as I felt his last effort would set him back a little).

A rest up until late October appeared to be the right scenario for this horse who would have been terrific value in either turf race. But along comes the old man who decides he wants to run in the Atto Mile (it's his horse, right!) and now you can kiss MOBIL goodbye for any chance of performing well next month.
