With all of the talk about making figures lately, I'm curious if anyone has any opinions about these 2 races, both the times in general and making figs. The fav. in the boy's just ran a 5.5 @ 7 fur., the winner had paired 7ish in going 2 for 2 at the dist. And the horse that ran 2nd had just ran 6.5 @7 fur. The race ended up slow, frations in 110.6 finishing in 138.4. Girls on the other hand ran 3 races later on the card and went in 112 finishing in 136.8.They were slower coming in and litely raced also. The winner came in 1 for 1 and had just ran a 12.Most of the races on the card that day were on the turf except for a couple sprints. My question is which race is more in line. Did the boys stumble home in 27.4, and they did not run anywhere near their previous numbers or were the girls super that day and went forward. By the way I was told that the wind shifted between the races curious if this was true. I did check and the winner just recieved an 80 beyer which is coming off an 85 so he went back a little. Also curious when do you decide a race had a time problem and you use time?, seems real slow for these horses to come home in 27.8, the winner Three Hour Nap is listed in the 8 hole in the DRF for Juveniles.
