The Derby is different than any other race, and as JB said we have a large sample size to derive clues.

There are many many races with the same conditions as the Stakes races you are mentioning. They aren't any different than other races with the same conditions.

The more bullet points you add to your conclusions, the more your mind will be cluttered. Keep it simple.

Look for fast horses with good patterns. Odds and probability is what the game is about. Don't over think the process.
