I'll connect the dots based on my experiences ...

Piggott rode SHERGAR to victory in the Irish Derby when filling in for regular rider Walter Swinburne.

Piggott also rode French Oaks winner MADAM GAY in the inaugural Arlington Million. I thought she was interesting in the Million just because she ran a good 2nd or 3rd to the mighty SHERGAR in the King George that year. MADAM GAY ended up running 3rd in the Million.
