I suppose the heat/humidity adds some uncertainty to the race. The #1 Pletcher's trainee Mind Control is a capable sort, on his best. One option is to toss his last vs Jackie's Warrior as a non-effort.

At the morning line of 3/1 he is not being overlooked and he could be considered an underlay if you read his last race as poor form. It's just that TAP so rarely disappoints.

Today I'm in a rare conservative keep it simple mood. This means an exacta-box with HRC. Ex HRC/MC I unit MC to win 1 unit.

Good Luck

Edit - I just watched the replay of the Churchill Downs on May 7, 2022. Mind Control's last race. The ride on Jackie's Warrior may have been brilliant it was certainly unusual. Jackies Warrior broke on top but with only a short lead to inside horse(s) and three competitors on the outside.

Mind Control broke well but since JW didn't tuck in. In fact, Jackies Warrior ran the whole race, including the turn, in the three and four paths.

Mind Control ended up 2-3 paths outside that. Mind Control never lost his form or quit running but after losing massive ground on the turn found himself on the far outside hopelessly behind the field. Jackies Warrior was bounding away from the field in late stretch but now I think the race was crushed on the turn.
