I think Mike Smith is one of the poorest big name jocks out there right now, and so far past his prime that even considering riding him right now is a huge mistake.

He has one style anymore, which is to ride the horse like they are a 1/5 fave and take them wide to avoid all possible trouble, paying absolutely no attention to prior races that day and existing biases (like the current inside DMR turf one, that is apparent to everyone, especially Umberto Rispoli).

If your horse isn't significantly better than everyone in the race, more often than not Smith is not going to win on it in recent months.
