i don't know much about the science of this, but if they get it right, it is a GIANT step. may not prevent some of the shady characters from cheating (ie shuman), many of them just don't care about their reputations, and they won't get in much trouble anyway because some of the stuff they are using has not yet been banned. freezing, however, is a MAJOR deterrent to the top trainers in the game, trainers whose reputation means something to them and their careers (no star in this game wants to deal with what giambi and bonds are dealing with now). having a vet who is always a step or two ahead of the regulators will no longer be a viable option for some of the top outfits.
