I also thought it was very good, & 2nd your suggestion. After reading it I promised myself that I would never complain again about being pickpocketed of my entire bankroll at CD the day FuPeg won the Derby. Getting robbed once on the way home from the races has to suck big time. Not sure appropriate words have been invented for more than once. btw, Bill Finley has a very good piece on rebates at espn.com, one I'm guessing his bosses at the Times decided not to publish.

I always enjoy learning something I didn't know, but would caution against dropping the current slogan in favor of "Thorograph. The longbow of handicapping." Unless, of course, it's part of a plan which targets medieval history professors who are also handicappers. I've never met or heard of one, but there's got to be a few out there somewhere.
