First I'd like to point out the six panel time for the handicap was faster than the sprinters ran six in the Mosely. Granted those weren't quality sprinters. I didn't bet on Bailey. I wish he hadn't ridden Include in all candor. The odds would have been better and he couldn't have been rode worse. That wasn't a five wide move. That was an apron move. You gotta admire a ride where the jock takes back to go wide and puts his horse right on a sprint pace at six marks. Bailey obviously thought he was on tons the best horse. I never felt that. I just thought he was best. I don't think Include ran another negative 2.1. I'm not sure he ran a neg 2.1 at Pimlico, but his figure will be as good or better than the winner. He didn't bounce. That bearing inside was a case of a lost animal wondering why the hell he was so far from the rail.
Include always runs a little ragged with the lead through the stretch. Its no secret now so the Thorograph analyist for the handicap can factor that in the future.
Macho Uno had the best late energy ability in the race. He ran like he did the day he beat Point Given as a two year old. But those horses in front of him were coming back to him much more than he was exploding. That was a very fast six panels. Picking a winner or tossing an overwhelming choice is the key to any race. Condolences you didnt cash Mall.
