Bellamania to the King's Bishop? (706 Views)

First off, thats Traver's Day, guess Nick doesn't think he can bring him back running. Quote Nick:

"I know it's a tough race, but Bellamy Road, when he's right he can run with any horse, so that's what I'm going to do," Zito said Saturday from Saratoga. "I talked to the Steinbrenner family and they said, 'Whatever you want to do,' and that's what I want to do."

He's got a fair turn of foot, but poor pace figure or no poor pace figure from the Summit of Speed theres no way in hell he's gonna outfoot Lost in the Fog early. This must be the Commentator strategy. Run them short, get their confidence up and then try and stretch them out.

"The Travers is a stretch, a mile and a quarter - we couldn't do it," Zito said. "We know the [King's Bishop] is going to go. I would have loved to have brought him back at a mile, but the timing is good. I know he'll be ready by then."

Anyone else of the opinion Zito has misjudged this horses quick foot ability...lol

Oh well, Zito wouldn't be the first that has been way off base on this horse. Others have been dramatically wrong about him as well. Dramatically.

Have some serious races today and then a whole meet at the Spa so this is the last post for awhile. Good luck.
