Yous is a brief but perfect explanation of what happened in the Lanes End. I'm always amazed how otherwise rational handicappers can't understand that a slow track not only influences the final time but the pace as well. They look at an raw pace figure like 1:11 and change and declare the pace was slow without considering that the pace split has to be considered in relation to the even slower final time.
