Hello Beau. The last contest was originally between myself and David Patent (you might know him from the SHEETS bulletin board) on Belmont Stakes Day. Others joined in. The winner was Nunzio, who I've noticed posts on both boards with a final bankroll of about $2,500. Superf posted a positive ROI.
In the only 'contest' that mattered to me, I bested Patent by something like $100. Patent then went on to post how great he actually did betting on things he neglected to figure out BEFORE the races. You can see both entries (here) and Patent's post-race redboard posts (on the SHEETS board).
I'm sure you are a better handicapper than Patent. You would almost HAVE to be less of a jerk, so I'm sure we can arrange something here (especially since it would be IMPOSSIBLE to do this on the SHEETS board). I think a bunch of people have mentioned July 13-14 at Saratoga. Given work commitments, I can't guarantee you that I personally could do it sooner, but that mid-July weekend sounds good. Others may be able to go at it sooner. I would add that I can't pick my nose at Saratoga, so I would expect to get whomped.
The contests are better than most of the other stuff here, so I'm ready and thank you for bringing it up. HP
