Sandreadis,
the mr greeley over storm cat cross screams sprinter/miler, and HG didn't have much left at the end of his last (home in :13.2), but ....
- it's mandella, and i'm confident he will be able to throttle the speed a bit here and get him to stretch out.
- physically, the horse looks like he should get the longer distances.
- the chilean family traces back to nijinsky, buckpasser, and a few excellent mares.
have to take a positive view here.
....
circular quay has no knocks.
neutral on thunder gulch, and the female family is well balanced, with belong to me over shadeed and alydar.
has tabor, pletcher, and gomez in his corner, so he wins the battle of the humans.
only issue i guess is that the hopeful set up so well for him, and the late run looked so impressive, you aren't going to get any kind of odds on this horse in his next few, and with his running style, you always run the risk of serious traffic problems.
.....
the horse Mike mentions, Nobiz, looks like the real deal. i watched the pregame show with tagg the day he broke his maiden, and was intrigued enough to put down a pretty big bet at 7-2.
not sure what to think of albert the great on top, but i like the storm cat family on bottom. you have halo over herbager down there.
this guy is fast and looks like he wants to go longer.
keeping this giant colt out of a storm cat mare sound might be the toughest part.
.......
those three the most impressive i have seen so far.
