"Attendance and handle increase

Del Mar showed gains in key business categories through the first week of the seven-week season.

Through Monday, the sixth day of the 43-day meeting, ontrack attendance had increased 3.6 percent, ontrack handle had improved 4.1 percent, and all-sources handle, including simulcast and account wagering, showed growth of 6.3 percent, according to chief financial officer Mike Ernst.

The all-sources handle was $81.6 million, compared to $76.8 million in 2006."

How is this possible if serious players will not wager on polytrack?
