Brad Free's drf article today about non-sheets using professional Gary Young, who relies primarily on watching & interpreting workouts. Speaking generally, to the extent they are considered at all, interpretation of works is IMHO one of the biggest weaknesses of sheet handicappers, & perhaps of all handicappers for that matter.
BTW, in light of the fact that the title is awarded to the jock with the most wins, not the highest % or roi, it might be worth considering, as I've been told, that Bailey is letting out all the stops in an effort to pass Prado. As a result, he is taking mounts & riding in races he wouldn't otherwise consider, raising the possibility that instead of the usual underlays which figure, JD will also be on a no. of underlays which don't even figure the last week of the meet, starting today for example.
