We need some sort of a Fan Panel or Fan Commission which I'll nominate you as Chairman, whoever you are. Racing officials and trainers-ie(HBPA)will never do anything that has any substance to it (no pun intended).

Maybe when the fans step up and present a reasonable set of proposals will the industry feel like "Hey we better do something".

If you go back to when Dancers Image was disqualified after winning the Ky Derby for using Bute, it seems as though the rules have gotten softer not tougher. Butes ok in Ky now, Lasix is ok in NY now, Clenbuterol is ok for training purposes now, where does it stop!!

Some trainers need drugs in order to win and keep their livelihood, tracks need horses to have a product, state officials need tracks to keep the tax revenue up. So why should we trust these people to do the right thing.

Maybe the fans should do it themselves!!
