Nice treatise Dr. Brown. Though I scanned it rather than read it critically. I agree with in almost entirely but for the "equine generation" commment. To paraphrase "half that of humans". I think its closer to one quarter that of humans and that equine selective breeding works roughly four times as fast as our "breeding"...lol. I think you could do a tail male on Mr. Prospector and find 4 or 5 succeeding generations of active stallions, during a time frame where most humans only produced one new generation. Which is not to imply that in the recent past all that extra equine cross breeding opportunity has worked out for the betterment of the breed .
