The Woody Stephens:
JB good F’in luck doing a figure for this one......
I know as do at least most of us that TG figures do not account for pace figs pre-race or buy into track bias. That said JB is 2nd to none at figuring track speed and it’s changes throughout the day. 20 year user here and far and away above anything else out there on the commercial market. Which is really funny as I ran into an old buddy the other day who is one of the last Raggies standing. We have argued figures for years and before I could say hello, he said “I know, I know Jake must ——- over the form to come up with some of the figs he does”...
I’ll state that the Belmont main strip was speed plus and very, very fast the past 2 days. I’m sure few could argue that point.
By anyone in the civilized worlds pace figs Strike Silver was at best the 8th fastest early in the heat, yet he ended up on a fairly easy lead per the way the track played the past 2 days. None of the reds broke or pushed him really.
The top 4 betting choices and fastest TG horses in the heat 1,4,9,2 barely ran a step and ALL X’d horribly. Honest Mischief ran a bit at the end but never threatened getting in the number. The other 3 had to X by at least 5 points......
A Total Chaos Race...
Good luck JB and projection with that many X’s won’t help!!!
On a side note:
Our own Trackjohn is a TV Star. Not once, Not Twice, But 3 times he was NBC’s darling seated right behind Chad Brown before and after the Chadhattan...
The best being he high fiving Chad 😎
