Came Home - yes his pattern can be viewed negatively, but on the other hand, I feel his last race was a non effort. Therefore, he has had enough time to recover from the 0 and the 1. Connections could have drawn post 12 or post 6, but chose post 15. Interesting choice. Paco is due.
Saarland - after looking at his sheet, considering the operation (thats a plus)and the impeccable breeding, plus he's a dual qualifier and whenever someone related to a horse dies, that horse often wins next time out, 15-1 would be a gift and I would bet a bunch to win. What we get at post time is another story. Shug is overdue.
Johannesburg - connections were 17th on the draw, but chose the rail. Stevens is reunited with Tabor so anything goes. Has to overcome 2 yo "jinx" but sooner or later some 2yo champ will.
Perfect Drift - I always take Turfway figures with a grain of salt. But if this horse is truly that fast, he could upset.
Medgalia drew very well.
So did Buddha. (before this year, I knew nothing of James Bond except what I saw on paper. After seeing and listening to him, he's easy to like, and would be a deserving winner)
Harlans Holiday shoulda bounced in the FOY. Shoulda bounced in Florida Derby. Finally bounced in BG and should be done. Can't see offspring of Harlan winning at 10f.
Blue Burner - post has to kill him. Otherwise, a contender.
War Emblem - if he gets loose, it could be a nightmare for those betting against him.
