My take on Chad is he seems to focus on future breeding values for his horses. That is why he goes after Grade 1 wins and sometimes Grade 2's. The $1,000,000 race on Saturday is "only" a Grade 3 as are the other Graded races that day. To me, I would go after the money but Chad always has odds-on horses in higher graded races anyway so I don't think he really cares.
