Mess at Monmouth (797 Views)

I wonder if anyone is paying attention to the upcoming Mess at Monmouth. Jockeys are refusing to ride after NJ passes "no whip" rule. There are rules limiting use of the whip but NJ is going an extra furlong or two here.

Only a few from last year are saying they will ride and a few of those are serving suspensions. They carded Friday's debut, they have jockeys that haven't ridden in a few years? And a few other imports. Should be quite an exhibition.

This is a crying shame. Monmouth was like Woodstock last year! The only place with a crowd. Everybody was well behaved, nice meet, good racing. Now what? What a trainwreck.

Monmouth without Jersey Joe?
Say it ain't so!
