GG Race2 DQ (604 Views)

Yesterday I took a shot to beat Jonathon Wong’s “Fascinate” with “Saint I’ve”. Horse was 7-1 and the trainer had nice numbers 1st out. In the stretch Fascinate had a short lead while running wide. Saint Ives started drifting out and made what I Thought was a minor bump which did not hinder the momentum of Fascinate. The two horses battled down the stretch and St Ives won by a head bob. I will add that they were both 7 lengths ahead of the field. I’ve seen horses drift out 2 or three paths and force other horses wide regularly in these maiden races with no DQ’s. If anyone watched the race can I have an opinion as I realize I’m biased. My point is that there was minimal contact which had no bearing on the outcome of the race.
