Simon Crisford and son Ed train the unbeaten 2yo colt Vandeek, who remains unbeaten in four starts after taking yesterdays Middle Park Stakes (G1) at Newmarket.

Afterward Simon revealed the most challenging task to overcome was getting the colt out of his stall. "He was flat out asleep today until noon. We couldn't get him up to go to the races! Then he was half asleep in the stalls and you can't keep him awake. He's one of the best two year olds in the world, I'd say, and our job is to do what's best for him."

The colt is pre-entered in the Dewhurst Stakes (G1) over 7 furlongs back at Newmarket October 14th.
