As an aside I suppose this race is named after the boy hero of the Civil War and not the Beau Jangles Bard.

Four points of interest.

1. The winner No More Time (and fastest horse going in) ran nearly everyone off their feet save the runner-up. Added distance is debatable. One of a couple of TG analysis winners on a day of 2/1 & 3/1 winners.

2. Agate Road (The runner up) trotted for the first 1/2 mile and then finished well. A good running style for his accustomed turf races and possibly classic distances now that we know he can handle dirt. Looks like one who has a good future.

3. West Saratoga the 3rd place finisher @ 31/1 was the value in the race as it turns out. I won't be making a KD futures pool bet. I will be following this one who held on well while attending the sub :47 pace.

4. Change of Command who also attended the pace collapsed dropping an anchor after 6F. His future is puzzling. Without some excuse I suppose relegating him to sprint races might be appropriate?
