1000%. And I presented 3 scenarios and scenario number 1 was Sierra Leone is NOT going to win. Or to take 4-5 trying to get paid here was crazy.
I actually thought Batton Down (Scenario 3) would be sent and I'm not so sure they didn't try but the other 2 to his outside just got there quicker. Johnny V left with intent and was sure he had that two path stalking spot so he kept Batton Down inside
So here we have Fierceness sitting a perfect free and clear stalking trip at 9-5 odds. Scenario 2 and that is how I bet. If he went off at 6-5 it was no play. I bet $50 to win. That isn't getting back the $500 from Derby Day. See my post Derby Post about the TG B Horses being boxed would have cost $100 and returned at least 6-1 if not more. A hedge instead of ALL in Fierceness to Win and Place. I remembered missing out on Smarty Jones who laid all over the Field and went off at great odds.
Actually there was a 4th Scenrio I just didn't say it. I never said a word about Seize the Grey who has returned to his prior Pat Day Mile form and will probably never be heard from again. At least at this level.
As far as Sierra Leone why don't they get him out and put him in the race 4 lengths off the pace. Because he can't. Try the rail the entire Trip. He can't. If he gets stopped he is toast. He has a Butt up shoulders slightly down running style. A big lumbering type. He probably ran his race but he didn't move forward. He is beginning to look a lot like Zandon. Part of the mix and to his credit these are High Level 3YO Grade Ones, but that's 3 straight losses. And in each race the odds keep going down. Well somebody is listening to all the excuses. Glad it isn't me.....
