Whats so great about Perfect Drift? (1849 Views)

I noticed that Perfect Drift is in the Top 5 on many of the Derby Experts' lists on the kentuckyderby.com website.

Does anyone have any insight as to why this horse might be a consideration? I only saw him race once on TVG in the Turfway Sprial Stakes (I beleive) and he looked sharp but not better (from what I could tell) than other horses in other Derby prep races I have seen this year. Also I didn't think that Turfway is viewed as one of the "major" tracks like Aqueduct, Santa Anita, or even Gulfstream, doesn't it make a difference where the preps happen?

Thank you, I am still learning this great game.
