Forget dosage, that stuff is garbage. According to the BRIS stats, if you add the average winning distance for offspring of the sire and the Dam's sire, Perfect Drift (15.7) is the second best to Saarland (15.8). This, plus his running style suggest the derby distance will not be a problem.
His fast figures make him very competitive and his line is good having never gone backwards. The guys on the KYderby.com (Asher, Byrne, etc) site like him because they are all based out of KY and have seen him run and train in person this winter a lot more than they have seen the other contenders. Makes no difference if a figure is run at Turfway, Gulfstream, or Beulah Park (yeah Beulah Twins!), a fast figure is a fast figure....
