I don't want to be a cynical wise guy or Debbie Downer, but surely there is a considerable chance that it was too fast and too much exertion for the horse's good, and that he might not be the same after that performance. I remember McCleans Music: 21.24, 43.48, 55.05, 107.44 - 114 Beyer, fastest debut Beyer at the time. I wish Shanceleot happiness, good health, and many wins. But surely there must be healthy limits even for Navarro trainees.
