I believe this is the crux of the issue NYRA has with Baffert. Essentially unbridled arrogance. Don't mess with the Kentucky Oaks. Don't mess with the Kentucky Derby. Baffert's defense is that he didn't really do anything wrong. His defense continually and unsuccessfully objected to Baffert's comments during his press conferences being shown at the hearing. Embarrassing and again arrogant to say the least.
