When Harty first started for Godolphin, he only had the horses through their 2 yo year and they were then taken to Dubai for the winter and turned over to other trainers. During that time, Eoin managed to run 1-2 in the BC Juvenile fillies at Belmont.
I too am disappointed with his stats - but I don't think that having the Godolphin horses young and running in the US is a good deal. Their breeding for the most part is not precocious, and with the exception of Flame Thrower, he rarely beat Baffert at Del Mar.
He also lost 2 years when all of the Godolphin ones he had (at Arlington, Del Mar and Saratoga) got sick, and I believe only one or two came back the next year. That was the year they were going to let him keep the horses at 3 - so he was really dead.
I'm waiting for him to get a horse that is bred to race here and that he can build the foundation at 2, and race it at 3. That's what he mastered under Baffert and should he get the same type of horse, would be doing it again.
